[225] Magazine, the premier lifestyle magazine in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is a go-to source for news about dining, shopping, entertainment, nightlife, the arts and more. In 2020, as it prepared to celebrate its 15th anniversary, [225] embarked on a comprehensive digital first strategy.
A centerpiece of that strategy was a downloadable app that would provide users with a constant source of information about restaurants to try, places to go, things to do and people to know.
The Studio E team partnered with MobiLoud on a solution to foster strong engagement and habit formation around the [225] brand with an app that syncs with the magazine’s existing WordPress website for easy content management. The new app provided a robust revenue stream for [225], expanding existing advertising rotation for clients and providing an avenue for offering timely special deals, to the delight of app users.
Studio E also created a robust marketing campaign: “Your City. Your app.” Social media, billboards, digital content and more gave the [225] app launch maximum visibility, resulting in thousands of downloads in the first week and steady growth thereafter. The promotional piece was a winner of two national Telly Awards, honoring excellence in video and television across all screens.
